Vinyl audiobooks are a niche and emerging trend in the US, but indicative of the desire to mesh modern convenience with old-fashioned formats. Author has just been released, and Harper Collins just announced Amy Poehler will be releasing her new audiobook on vinyl – so, an interesting trend that speaks to the desire for a connection to old-fashioned things, and gives new meaning to a “listening party” or “book club.”
